What this site is

A public catalog of the NSN-identified parts SECO stocks, with a quote-request form. Browsing it needs no account and no personal information.

What we collect, and why

• Quote requests. When you ask for a quote we ask for your name, company, email address and phone number, plus the parts, quantities and any note you add. We use them for one thing: to price the parts and reply to you. It is the only place on this site that asks for anything about you.
• Your quote list. A cookie holds an identifier for the parts you have set aside, so the list survives between pages. It contains no personal information and expires after 90 days, or when you submit the request.
• Remember me. If you leave “remember my details” ticked on the quote form, your name, company, email and phone are stored in a cookie in your own browser — nowhere else — so the next form is pre-filled. It expires after a year; untick the box or clear your cookies to remove it.
• Server logs. Like every website, our hosting provider records the address and page of each request to keep the site secure and running. We use IP addresses to limit abusive traffic, not to identify visitors.
• Analytics. None. This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies.

Where it goes, and how long it stays

• A quote request is collected here and passed to our sales office within minutes. Once it has been handed over, this public server keeps only a one-way hash of your email address — used so that you, and only you, can open your quote-status link — and deletes the rest of the request within 7 days. Quote lists that are never submitted are deleted after 30 days.
• In our office, your request and our reply are kept as ordinary business records — the same as a request that arrived by phone or email — for as long as we need them to serve you and to meet our record-keeping obligations.
• The emails we send you (the acknowledgement and the quotation) come from our Microsoft 365 account.
• This site is hosted in the United States. We do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone for marketing. It reaches only the providers that host this site and deliver our email, and only so that they can do that.

Your quote-status link

The acknowledgement email includes a link showing what you requested and where it stands. It opens only after you enter the email address the request was made with, so a forwarded or intercepted link shows nothing to anyone else.

To see, correct or delete the information from a quote request, email sales@secoglobal.com or call 706-798-7500. We will, unless we must keep the record of a completed sale. This site is for business buyers and is not directed at children.

If this notice changes, the new version appears here with a new effective date.
